HOW TO SEND US YOUR MASTER CD
Send us a CDR master copy of your CD. We duplicate directly from your CD and can do so in most any format you wish to provide. Your master will be duplicated exactly as it is sent to us. We do offer mastering services (see prices below). You may send us WAV or AIFF audio data files and a track listing and we'll make your CD's with standard 2-second between-track spacing (we can also do custom spacing if you want—or eliminate the spacing altogether).
HOW TO SEND US YOUR ARTWORK FOR YOUR ON-CD Printing.
Greyscale or color artwork must be 300dpi at 100% size.
This is more complicated than it needs to be. We use standard measurements; so if you know those already, please disregard our instructions. The most frequent problem we encounter is artwork that is not set for printing off the edge of the sheet properly. Most CD's contain such artwork and in order to reproduce it consistently you must provide art with at least a 1/8-inch extension beyond the edges.
Another issue is having text that runs close to the edges. If you leave room for slight inconsistencies in the duplication and assembly process your package will turn out much better.

4.567 inches round, prints full color directly on disc with either a white or silver undercoating. White undercoating usually makes the art stand out best. Heavy dark coverage (black with reversed type for instance) is not recommended. Photos and other greyscale images and shadowing look fantastic.
Keep type at least 1/8-inch away from edges. Make your background art a little bigger so the printer will crop the image (the center hole is 1.6 inches, but DON'T CUT THIS OUT in your art as the printer does it automatically; DON'T MAKE THESE CIRCLES PART OF YOUR ART either). It's easiest to set up a 4.6 square canvas in your photo or illustration software.
For most short-run production orders, a test CD will be mailed to you for approval. Changes and additional test mailings are $10 each. Let us know about your show or other deadlines. The shortrun process is different than mass replication processes and is quite labor-intensive. Any custom work on layout, including scanning and typesetting will take extra time. If your materials are provided to spec, ready for production, our current production time is approximately one week to shipment of test pressing. Actual production of your CD's generally takes one week to process. We do our best to meet deadlines and go out of our way to accommodate rush projects as necessary. It's a good idea to call and inform us of your project's schedule.
